INGREDIENTS: (7)

The biggest ingredients are the 2 clays. Clay is a natural treatment that tones skin, stimulates circulation and gives the skin a glow as it deeply cleanses the skin. Great for oily or acne prone skin.

Bentonite Clay is a mineral-rich combination of montmorillonite (mineral clay) and volcanic ash. It is very absorbant and great for oily skin. It is a strong clay that works by drawing the impurities in your skin to the surface and is really good for acne and blackheads. It is also an anti-inflammatory that can help with the redness of acne scars.

Kaolin Clay also was known as China clay as it is from China, is rich in calcium, silica, zinc, and magnesium. The mildest of all the clays it is gently absorbant in masks for sensitive skin. The same benefits as Bentonite clay as it is absorbent and helps draw impurities to the surface but it also helps soothe sensitive skin.

Activated Charcoal Powder binds to the dirt and the excess oils and helps pull it out of your pores, making them less visible (it's the oil and dirt that makes them appear bigger). It also works as a gentle exfoliator.

Willow Bark (Salix Nigra) extract, is a source of salicylic acid, a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) that is a natural exfoliant that helps skin shed dead cells and clear pores; it can also stimulate new cell formation. Willow Bark Extract is used quite a lot in skin care for acne.

Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia) essential oil*, Anti-bacterial and toning action for acne prone skin. Helps to stimulate the formation of scar tissue thus helping spots.

Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus) essential oil*, acts as an antiseptic and stimulates circulation thus blood flow to affected areas.

Juniper Berry (Juniperus Communis) essential oil*. Antiseptic, a natural skin toner and reduces the appearances of spots.

Naturally occurring in essential oils used: Limonene & Linalool.

*Certified organic ingredient

Wild Earth Beauty Review

A GOOD THOROUGH CLEANSE!

Skin Type: Combination, Sensitive, slight Rosacea.

A clay powdered mask mix that only needs a little to get enough for your whole face. Smells of the Tea Tree & Eucalyptus. I mixed just over 1 teaspoon with equal amounts of water. Applied to the face well, it did not get uncomfortable as it dried out. Felt fine on the skin, no irritation. Starts to become uncomfortable if you leave too long (as clay masks do).

Removed well with a muslin cloth. Face afterward was flushed, as I would expect with my skin. My skin was not tight or overly dry afterward. The next day I had a number of spots come up which I took to mean that the mask had done its jobs and was cleaning out my pores. I would not recommend it for very sensitive skin and definitely not for Rosacea. This is great for Oily/Combination or Teenage skin that really needs a deep cleanse. Not a mask to do the day before a big event but a mask to use consistently (weekly) to keep the skin clean & clear.

I would use it again, but due to my slight Rosacea, I think I would keep it in reserve to use monthly on the week before my menstrual cycle when my skin does need a really good clean out and help with its oil control.

Available for here on Wild Earth Beauty. It is the cheapest of all the masks we do and with the advised maximum weekly use will last a while.

If you have normal-oily to Combination skin this mask is like a bomb to your pores and I can highly recommend. At present, I have not come across an alternative to compare it with.

For slightly sensitive skin, the alternative mask I suggest for a deep cleanse is Skin & Tonic London Detox Mask and for sensitive skin, I suggest Mallow + White Soothe.
